Russia-Ukraine War: NATO Expansion, U.S. Role & Global Impact.

Introduction to the Russia-Ukraine War

It is of no use to regret, cry and fret after the world is deep down in the murk and a tragic low of another world war – so write, speak, express, paint, compose, sing, dance and tell the story that needs to be told and play your part before you are rendered useless by circumstance and your mind becomes foggy and you are numb…there might be comfort in the numbness as most people look the other way when they are required to shout and act, rebel even for the sake of love and sex.

The Russia-Ukraine war is destructive and an ultimate tragedy – and everybody is afraid of a war except those who are `driven’ by annihilation of human life and nihilism to the extent of infinity. The numbers in this category are increasing because many choose to look away instead of acting with vision and clarity.

Power, Authority, and War-Mongers

Well, we may choose to look the other side, but then we should know that those who use and abuse authority and have power without purpose are working overtime and with a lot of machination, chicanery, and oblique smartness. So we are always at the risk of being duped by these over-smarties into the valley of death-row and war. So gather your threads `into a needle’ and make a design that beats this war-monger in his own game.

Ukraine’s Role in the Conflict

Here I am talking about the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where it might seem to the myopic mindset and vision that Russia is making war and repressing Ukraine as if Ukraine were a weakling. But actually speaking, Ukraine has bracketed itself into too much of comic relief by the comic nerve of Zelensky, who originally belongs to that clique of comedians as he is a comedian by profession, and did not realize that the lines blurred and his purposeless performance turned into a tragedy for his own people and others.

The world is at the edge of more boots hitting civilian hubs, and everyday life is in fear and helplessness.

NATO, America, and Europe’s Role

So people, this is the time to pick the best cigars and smoke some sense into the war-mongers – Zelensky and Ukraine, NATO and its leader America, and those European countries who tow their line with double standards. These characters and institutions are guilty of blood on their hands even when Russia, irrespective of who headed it (because these characters and institutions are in the dirty old habit of blaming Putin), has been warning them to keep off the borders of Russia and not to interfere in its internal matters.

But America thrives on pushing Russia to the wall, in utter hooliganism, insensitivity, and short-sightedness – exhorted and encouraged by the double standards of Europe, which is now beginning to break.

U.S. Strategy and Geopolitical Interests

So I will tell you, in sync with what I have researched from reliable sources, about what the modus operandi of America is and has been. This will make clear how far removed from reality is the illusion of Zelensky.

He acted as if telling Europe: give me more and more defense equipment, otherwise I will commit suicide. Whereas Europe has exhausted itself in this exercise, and I don’t think that the citizens of Europe are on the same page with the governments of European nations.

America-led NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) has been moving close to Russian borders. Former Soviet States have been becoming NATO members, which means the eastward march of NATO since the early nineties has been moving into the security belt of Moscow. Russia has been warning about NATO expansion since then.

Historical Context of NATO Expansion

  • NATO was established in 1949 as an anti-Soviet accord.
  • Russia has faced invasions: Poland (1610), Sweden (1708), Napoleon (1812), Germany (1914–1941).
  • The disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991 left Russia weakened – losing one-third of its territory, population, and military might.
  • American strategists like William J. Burns, Robert Gates, and Strobe Talbott called NATO’s eastward expansion a historic blunder.

NATO vs Russia: Ongoing Tensions

Many Russians see NATO as a vestige of the Cold War. They argue that since they disbanded the Warsaw Pact, the West should have done the same. Yet, American heads of state widened NATO’s security umbrella, inviting Ukraine into an anti-Russian alliance.

The breakdown of the Soviet Union was masterminded by America-led NATO. It was not just ideological determinism but a strategic push that resulted in Russia losing its strength and dignity.

Conclusion: Global Impact of the Russia-Ukraine War

The Russia-Ukraine war today symbolizes NATO vs Russia tensions, U.S. geopolitical ambitions, and Europe’s double standards. It is not just a regional war but a global conflict with long-term consequences. Ignoring history and undermining diplomacy has only deepened the crisis.

More to come…

Well we may choose to look the other side but then we should know that those who use and abuse authority and have power without purpose are working overtime and with a lot of machination, chicanery, and oblique smartness …and are rather resourceful and clever. So we are always at the risk of being duped by these over-smarties into the valley of death-row and war. So gather your threads `into a needle’ and make a design that beats this war-monger in his own game…let your passion unleash.

But America thrives on pushing Russia to the wall, and that too in utter hooliganism, insensitivity, and short-sightedness – exhorted and encouraged so also by the double standards of Europe, which Europe is now beginning to come out of.

So I will tell you, in sync with what I have researched from reliable sources, about what the modus-operandi of America is and has been. I will also tell you the facts here – this will make clear how far removed from reality is the illusion of Zelensky – and also the strangeness of his act, like if he was saying to Europe: give me more and more defense equipment otherwise I will commit suicide…!!!

Whereas Europe has exhausted itself in this exercise, and I don’t think that the citizens of Europe are on the same page with the governments of European nations.

America-led NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) has been moving close to Russian borders and the former Soviet States have been becoming NATO members, which means the eastward march of NATO has since the early nineties been moving into the security belt of Moscow. Russia has been warning about NATO expansion since then.

NATO was a security alliance between NATO and Europe. After the Second World War, the goal of this alliance has been to protect democratic freedom. It was on the 4th April 1949 that the North Atlantic Treaty was signed. This treaty was an anti-Soviet accord aimed at countering any future aggression by the USSR.

It was a treaty to create a new balance of power. Article 5 of the NATO treaty was for the member states to protect each other – if one NATO member is attacked, all would be considered to be attacked.

Thereafter the Warsaw Pact had five reasons:

  • Polish occupation of Kremlin – 1610-1612
  • Swedish invasion of Russia – 1708 to 1709
  • Napoleon’s Invasion of Russia – 1812
  • Two wars with Germany – 1914 to 1941 (Nazi invasion of Russia)
  • Russia began looking at NATO as a tool of American aggression

Berlin Wall brought down – 1989
Soviet Union disintegrated and the Iron Curtain completely demolished
Europe’s regional order hinged on one question – Should Germany join NATO or Warsaw Pact?

NATO expanded eastwards – Erstwhile Soviet States and European States became NATO members. This led to NATO’s expansion and its presence on the borders of Russia.

Russia’s sentiments have been echoed by many American strategists, calling it a historic blunder and a direct challenge.

  • William J. Burns, Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia
  • Robert M. Gates, Former Secretary of State
  • Strobe Talbott, Former Deputy Secretary of State U.S.

Many Russians see NATO as a vestige of the Cold War. They point out that they have disbanded the Warsaw Pact and ask why the West should not do the same. Still, American heads of state kept widening NATO’s security umbrella. Inviting Ukraine into the anti-Russian alliance is what’s in it for NATO.

Why did NATO push for it? Their moves disregarded history and facts between NATO and Russia. The breakdown of the Soviet Union was masterminded by America-led NATO. It is a farce that it was a result of ideological determinism. Russia was machinated against and its historic journey attacked and mutilated as one-third of its territory, one-third of its population, and one-third of its military might were lost.

Unjust settlements were imposed upon it in a moment of maximum vulnerability. It was a strategic loss and matter of national humiliation.

The Russia-Ukraine war today stands as a symbol of NATO vs Russia tensions, U.S. geopolitical ambitions, and Europe’s double standards – a global conflict with long-term impact.
